YELLOWSTONE BROWN
Coming from a family of avid outdoorsmen, trout and landscape artwork spans many of the walls in my home. I have always found beauty in the vibrant coloring of mountain trout and wanted to recreate this in a way that showcased the detail of the fish.
Keeping the piece as natural and environmentally friendly as possible, I painted the trout on a wooden palette. The brown trout is realistic, but painterly in style, complementing and exposing the rugged texture of the wooden canvas.
5518 DESIGNS ARTIST SERIES
As part of 5518's artist series, I was commissioned to create a custom piece of artwork that could be printed on store apparel. Being that the apparel would be sold in Montana in the spring and summer months, I decided to paint a rainbow trout, in an abstracted, painterly style. The artwork was showcased in 5518's storeroom and printed on t shirts, sweatshirts, and created into stickers.
